MANILA, Philippines — Motorists are advised to avoid the area surrounding a popular mall in Pasig City after a foiled robbery, Radyo Inquirer 990AM reported Thursday.

The report said that there was a traffic buildup on the EDSA side of Robinson’s Galleria where the suspects lobbed a grenade and shot at shoppers in an alleged attempt to rob the ATM machine of China Bank. It added that an armored van was parked nearby.

The report said that police recovered another unexploded grenade wrapped in scotch tape that was lobbed by the unidentified suspects outside the mall.

The suspects were reported to have fled on board a motorcycle.
