LUCENA CITY — Cavite police seized more than P7.5 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 834 suspected criminals in the province during the month-long operation in October.

In a report, the Cavite police provincial office on Wednesday, November 2, said they busted 472 suspected drug traffickers and confiscated 852 sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) and 131 sachets of marijuana in anti-criminality operations from October 1-31.

The volume of the confiscated illegal drugs was not specified in the report, but it said that the total drug haul has an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P7,554,498.

Also arrested during the same period were 174 illegal gamblers and 188 wanted felons, some of whom were included in the region’s most wanted list.
