AUTOLAB and the JS Contractors preserved their winning streaks as they beat their respective foes in the Sunrisers Basketball Tournament last Tuesday night at the Atillo Gym in Barangay Labangon.
Autolab pushed their league-leading record to 3-0 (win-loss) with a come-from-behind, 69-63 win over Honeygrace while JS Contractors bullied Radisson Blu, 74-64, for their second win in as many games.
Down by as much as 20 points, Autolab clawed their way back behind their pressure defense which resulted in turnovers for Honeygrace and easy points for the former.
Mark Villagonzalo, who scored a game-high 27 points, made a basket with 1:11 left which put Autolab in front for good. Former University of Southern Philippines Foundation point guard, Mike Sereno, also had 18 points for Autolab.
In the other game, former Salazar Institute of Institute wingman, Oliver Sanoy, scored 31 points to lead JS Contractors to the win in the tournament supported by Island Paints, JD Design and Concept and Coca Cola Corp. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
