Missing Quezon fisherman found safe

LUCENA CITY — A fisherman reported missing while sailing in Lamon Bay on Wednesday, Oct. 26, was found safe on Thursday afternoon in the coastal town of Perez, Quezon.

The Quezon police said residents rescued around 4:30 p.m. Alberto Ola of Barangay Caridad Ilaya in Atimonan town in the coastal village of Pambuhan.

The report said Ola was sailing from Jomalig island bound for Atimonan when his boat overturned due to strong waves in the seas off Polillo island.

The sea current swept fisherman and his boat toward Perez, where he was rescued.
