MANILA, Philippines – The expanded number coding scheme will be suspended on October 31 and November 1 in light of All Saints’ Day or Undas, said the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

According to the MMDA’s Facebook post on Thursday, vehicles with plate numbers ending in one to four will be able to travel in Metro Manila within coding hours during the aforementioned dates.

Under the usual coding scheme, cars with plate numbers ending with one and two are not allowed to travel on main roads during coding hours on Mondays, while the same rule applies on Tuesdays for cars with plate numbers ending with three and four.

The MMDA has prepared 1,500 personnel ahead of Undas to ensure peace and security during the busy holiday.
