MANILA, Philippines – Vaccination is required to visit Caloocan cemeteries during the commemoration of All Saint’s Day or Undas, the local government unit (LGU) of Caloocan said on Tuesday.

The Caloocan LGU said as part of its “Oplan Kaluluwa” Undas campaign, public cemeteries in the city will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on October 29 to November 2.

(We are aiming that the downward trend of COVID-19 cases in the city will continue, so we are clarifying that only fully vaccinated individuals can visit their departed loved ones this Undas).

In addition, people with body temperatures  37.5 °C and above will be given a 10-minute rest before rechecking them to allow leeway for weather conditions, said City Health Department Officer-in-charge Evelyn Cuevas.

If their temperatures do not go down, they will not be allowed to proceed inside.

Vehicles are not allowed inside the cemetery, said the Caloocan LGU. Alcoholic beverages, sharp objects, sound systems, and gambling paraphernalia are also prohibited inside the cemetery grounds.

The Caloocan LGU has allowed the cleaning and painting of graves until October 25.

(We ask for your cooperation in heeding the local government guidelines for an orderly visit to your late loved ones).
