Atimonan police reported that Rosel Diez, driver of the ALPS passenger bus, lost control of the vehicle due to the slippery road, occupied the opposite lane, and
bumped the oncoming Toyota Fortuner driven by Jovelito Amar in Barangay Balubad.
Due to the strong impact, the SUV crashed into a parked trailer truck on the roadside.

“The SUV passengers are all religious pastors bound for Dagupan City for a convention,” he said over the phone.
Of the injured persons, Amar; SUV passengers Noel Viernes and Jeneth Rull Amar; and bus passenger Eva Bayaro were confined at the hospital for further treatment.
The bus driver, who also suffered injuries, will be transferred to Quezon Medical Center in this city.
