Korean Air jet overshoots runway in Cebu

MANILA, Philippines — Several flights were canceled on Monday after a Korean Air plane overshot on the runway of Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA).

The MCIA, in a statement, said the temporary runway closure of the airport was done to allow the “safe removal of the aircraft,” leading to the grounding of international and domestic flights to and from the MCIA.
