MANILA, Philippines – Inclement weather due to Tropical Depression Obet has prompted several local government units to suspend classes in several public and private schools on Friday, October 21.

- Aparri (Private schools’ suspension upon the discretion of school head)
- Ballesteros (If Obet-induced rainfall continues)
PRE-SCHOOL TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Cagayan Valley
- Baggao
- Claveria
- Gonzaga (Public schools, pre-school to senior high school)
- Santa Ana (Public schools, pre-school to senior high school)
- Sanchez Mira (Pre-school to senior high school)
- Santa Praxedes (Preschool to senior high school)
Tropical cyclone Wind Signal Number 1 is up over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and the northeastern portion of mainland Cagayan (Santa Ana and Gonzaga) due to Obet, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
