LUCENA CITY — An unidentified man, believed to be a “salvage” or summary execution victim, was found in Tanauan City in Batangas province on Wednesday, Oct. 19, police said.
A report from the Batangas police said the victim’s body was found by a farm helper lying in a 50-meter-deep creek in Barangay (village) Malaking Pulo around 2 p.m.
The man’s head was wrapped with masking tape, while his hands were also tied with masking tape behind his back.
He was described as being 5-foot tall, with a fair complexion, and wearing a black shirt and gray shorts.
The report did not indicate if the body had bullet wounds.
Police were still investigating to identify the victim and the culprits behind the killing.
