MPD cop kills neighbor
Members of the Manila Police District (MPD) are looking for a colleague who shot his neighbor in the back and then finished him off by putting a bullet in the victim’s chin. PO1 Rustico Gabuco Jr., who is assigned at the MPD Station 10, even removed the cap worn by 22-year-old mechanic Jun King Medrano, a resident of Rodriguez Street in Tondo, Manila, before shooting him in the face. The victim died while undergoing treatment at Mary Johnston Hospital while the policeman escaped. SPO2 Glenzor Vallejo of the MPD homicide section said that the shooting took place at 2:30 a.m. yesterday at the corner of Pacheco and Amethyst Streets in Tondo. Vendor, 71, dead in mishap
An elderly fish vendor was killed while his wife was hurt after the vehicle that they were riding in was rammed from behind by a delivery truck before dawn Tuesday in Quezon City. Jose Tebelin, 71, died in the accident which took place on Edsa near Oliveros Street in Barangay Balingasa as the victims were transporting fish to their stall in Novaliches. Jose’s wife, Salome, 75, suffered head injuries and was taken to a hospital. The driver of the delivery truck was arrested by the police. Julie M. Aurelio
