MANILA, Philippines — More than half or 531 of 1,036 examinees passed the October Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said on Tuesday.
The exams were held from October 11 to 13, at several testing centers located in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi.
Jerome Ignatius Tan Garces from De La Salle University (DLSU) – Manila led the list of topnotchers with a score 89.30 percent.
He was followed by Oliver Roy Prayon Mañgosing from Xavier University who scored 88.30 percent, and Caesar John Trinidad Alcoriza from the University of the Philippines (UP) – Diliman with a score of 87.80.
In terms of top performing schools, UP – Diliman topped the list with a passing rate of 96.36 percent, followed by UP Los Baños with 92.59.
At third was DLSU – Manila which held a passing rate of 90.91 percent, and then University of San Carlos with 85.71 percent and Xavier University with 80 percent.
