LIST: LGUs’ safety, health protocols for Undas 2022

MANILA, Philippines – Local government units (LGUs) across the country are preparing for All Saints Day or Undas by setting safety and health protocols.

Below is a list of LGUs and their respective guidelines for Undas.

Davao City

The Davao City government emphasized following minimum public health standards on COVID-19 and mandated the use of face masks.

The LGU has also prohibited those visiting cemeteries from staying overnight and playing loud music. The Davao City Police Office will set up police assistance desks in all cemeteries in the area.

City of Manila

According to the Manila Public Information Office, citizens can only clean their loved ones’ graves until October 25. Alcoholic beverages and weapons are not allowed.

In a recent update on October 15, the local government has also allowed vaccinated minors to enter the Manila North and South cemeteries.

This Undas season is the first with relaxed mask mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic, with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. issuing Executive Order No. 3, which made wearing a face mask optional outdoors.
