MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) recorded another 1,938 COVID-19 infections on Monday, putting the number of active infections at 25,848.

This brought the total COVID-19 caseload to 3,984,415, with 3,895,420 recoveries and 63,547 deaths, based on the DOH’s COVID-19 Tracker.

These new cases are lower than the 2,188 daily average infections recorded from Oct. 10 to 16.

Metro Manila continues to lead the list of regions with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks with 10,005, followed by Calabarzon with 5,090 and Central Luzon with 2,734.

For individual areas, Quezon City continues to lead with 2,559 infections, followed by Cavite with 1,886 and Rizal with 1,366.

Meanwhile, only 10,089 individuals were tested for COVID-19 on Sunday, which will be reflected in the tallied number of cases on Tuesday.
