Pagasa: No more areas under Signal No.3 as Neneng moves away from Luzon

Neneng moves away from Luzon

MANILA, Philippines — No more areas are under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No.3 as Typhoon Neneng moves over the West Philippine Sea away from the Luzon land mass,  the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Pagasa in its 5 p.m. typhoon bulletin said Neneng still maintains its strength. It was last located 210 kilometers west of Calayan, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 150 kph.

“Typhoon Neneng will continue moving westward or west northwestward over the West Philippine Sea until tomorrow early morning then turn and move generally west southwestward or southwestward for the remainder of tomorrow through Wednesday morning,” said Pagasa.

“On the forecast track, it may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this late afternoon or tonight,” it added.

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains may still prevail over Batanes, Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur, while light to moderate with at times heavy rains are forecast over Babuyan Islands, the rest of Ilocos Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region.
