1 dead in Quezon road crash

A motorcycle rider died early Friday (Oct. 14) after his vehicle was hit by a van along the Maharlika Highway in Sariaya town in Quezon province

LUCENA CITY – A motorcycle rider died early Friday (Oct. 14) after his vehicle was hit by a van along the Maharlika Highway in Sariaya town in Quezon province.

Sariaya police reported that motorcyclist Norman John Luceriano, 25, had just come from a gas station and was about to enter the section of the highway in Barangay Sto. Cristo around 1:30 a.m. when his vehicle was accidentally bumped by a van driven by Selvinken Maesa.

Luceriano sustained fatal injuries and died while being taken to a hospital in neighboring Candelaria town.

The report did not state whether the fatality was wearing a crash helmet. INQ
