2 fugitives in Zambales fall in manhunt operations

OLONGAPO CITY — Police here and in nearby Zambales province on Thursday (October 13) arrested two of the most wanted persons during separate manhunt operations.

In a report, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said one of the fugitives was identified as Ailyn de Guzman, 46, a resident of Barangay San Isidro in Subic town, Zambales.

De Guzman, who was arrested in Barangay Barretto in this city, was tagged as the sixth most wanted felon in Zambales. She was facing a car theft charge.

The other fugitive was identified as Edwin Merindo, 40, of Barangay Bangantalinga in Zambales’ capital town of Iba, the PRO3 said.

Merindo was facing a case for violation of the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. INQ
