OLONGAPO CITY — Residents in this city can again expect lower electricity bills starting this month after the local power distributor announced the reduction of government charges on Thursday.

The Olongapo Electricity Distribution Company, Inc. (OEDC) said the Feed-In Tariff Allowance (FIT-All) rate would be adjusted to P0.0364 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) from P0.0983 per kWh last month.

The FIT-All is among the government charges paid to the National Transmission Corporation (TransCo), which is the allocated fund for those building renewable power plants to help them with their expenses.

Last month, the OEDC already reduced its rate by P2.59 per kWh after some negotiations with a local government official.
