TUGUEGARAO CITY — Forty-seven people (nine families) were evacuated in Camalaniugan town, Cagayan province, due to floods after incessant rains spawned by Tropical Depression Maymay, authorities said Wednesday, Oct. 12

Luec and Abagao villages were flooded on Tuesday, forcing the residents to seek shelter in the evacuation site of Luec, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said.

The flood isolated at least 33 other families in Abagao village, but they opted to stay in their houses.

Mayor Isidro Cabaddu said they had distributed food packs and household kits to the evacuees. INQ
