MANILA, Philippines — Classes in several public and private schools have been suspended Wednesday, October 12, in areas affected by Tropical Depression Maymay.
The class suspensions were declared either due to heavy rains or pursuant to the guidelines of the Department of Education by respective local government units in:

This came as Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 remains hoisted over Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya in the Cagayan Valley region; Aurora and Nueva Ecija in Central Luzon; and General Nakar, Infanta, and Polillo Islands in Quezon province, the state weather agency said.
