BMALV rules Player 6 category
THE BRIGHT MINDS in Action Learning Village (BMALV) FC clinched its second players 6 title of the year when it defeated Giuseppe FC, 6-5, via a penalty shootout in last Sunday’s conclusion of the Cebu International School (CIS) Friendship Cup at the CIS football field.
The championship match eventually ended in a 1-all draw that led to the penalty shootout.
BMALV clinched its first P6 title this year via the !4th Aboitiz Football Cup earlier this month.
In the women’s open, the University of San Carlos brought home the title after prevailing 2-1 over Subnagdaku Football Club also via a penalty shootout.
The Over-40 title went to Queen City United after edging Cebu Union B, 3-2, while the boys-17 title was bagged by Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu B over Bright Academy, 1-0.
Other winners were CIS who brought home the girls 14 title and Accenture A who dominated the BPO category. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
