OLONGAPO CITY–After a slight surge in new COVID-19 infections, the city did not register any additional cases, local data showed Tuesday, Oct. 11.
In its latest tally, the local COVID-19 task force said five infected patients were also cleared from the viral disease on Monday, bringing down the number of active cases from 53 to 48.
On Oct. 8, the city posted its highest single-day tally of new infections in recent weeks after recording 24 new cases.
No new deaths were also registered on Monday and in the previous days. The city’s death toll related to the disease stood at 360.
A total of 7,465 COVID-19 cases have already been registered in the city since 2020. Of this figure, at least 7,057 had recovered from the disease. INQ
