MANILA, Philippines – PAWSsion Project, a non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes animals, has found itself in need of financial help to continue its operations that involve caring for 600 saved animals.

On its Facebook page, PAWSsion Project announced Monday that they only have two days’ worth of supplies for their shelters in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan, and Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

“At present, we are still struggling financially because of the many unexpected and incidental expenses the past [two] months especially vet bills, additional manpower, and shelter improvements,” it said.

It added that they have had to slow down rescue operations to focus on the rehabilitation of new animal rescuees, adoption drives, and spay and neuter campaigns.

The group’s call for help and donations came shortly before their fourth anniversary. PAWSsion Project was founded by Malou Perez on October 12, 2018.

“Our only wishes for our birthday as an organization are just supplies for the rescues, safer spaces for both the rescues and the strays, and more funds for spay and neuter,” said PAWSsion Project, adding that donation channels can be found on their Facebook page. With reports from Ves Garcia
