2 drug suspects nabbed in Camarines Norte
LEGAZPI CITY — Two drug suspects were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in the towns of Paracale and Mercedes in Camarines Norte Saturday night.
The Camarines Norte police said in a report that a suspect identified as Sonny, 56, was arrested in Barangay (village) Poblacion Norte in Paracale at around 9:55 p.m.
Authorities recovered two sachets or 10 grams of shabu (crystal meth) worth P68,000.
The suspect was tagged as a big time drug suspect and included in the illegal drugs watch list in the Bicol region.
In Mercedes, a suspect identified only as Ron-Ron, 29, was also arrested in a separate buy-bust operation in Barangay San Roque at around 8:15 p.m.
The suspect sold two sachets or 4.16 grams of marijuana worth P500 to an undercover police agent. Police also recovered two more sachets of marijuana worth P500.
The suspect was included in the illegal drugs watch list of the police in the said province.
Police in Camarines Norte have recently implemented a policy prohibiting the release of real names of suspects in their reports.
The suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
