MANILA, Philippines — The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) spotted off Central Luzon will bring overcast skies and rainfall in many parts of the country on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday.
The LPA was spotted 1,430 kilometers east of Central Luzon.
The LPA may enter the Philippine area of responsibility on Sunday, but it has a low change of becoming a tropical depression, according to Pagasa forecaster Veronica Torres.
Torres said the trough of LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the entire Visayas, Caraga region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro region, Mindoro, and Palawan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Pagasa did not raise a gale warning in any seaboards nationwide.
