THE Mandaue City School for the Arts (MCSFA) held its annual fashion walk competition for high school and elementary students last March 20 inside the campus.
The event had the themes “Party Rock” for the high school department and “Party-party” for the elementary.
Niño Matillano, MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health) coordinator, said the competition highlighted the talents and artistic skills of the students.
Bernadin Cassandra Faelnar, a second year high school student, emerged as grand champion.
“I did not expect to win. I just prepared myself not to lose confidence while performing on stage. I learned to be strong, and not to lose lose hope,” Faelnar said.
Third year student Maria Gabriela Maglahus placed second, followed by sophomore student Wynne Michael Gogo at third.
Fashion Walk president, Nina Christine dela Paz, said the event turned out successful despite the rain.
She said “Nagdali-dali pa mi ug transfer sa mga decorations sa sulod sa performance hall aron di mabasa. Mao to dugay kaayo mi nakasugod. Pero happy ko kay na-lingaw ra man sad ang mga tao (We hurriedly transferred the decorations inside the performance hall to take shelter. That’s why we started late. But I was happy because the people were amazed by the show).”
