MANILA, Philippines — A call center agent and her purported cohort have been arrested in Tarlac City for allegedly being engaged in illegal drug activities, the Tarlac City Police Station reported Thursday.
Police said in a statement that the suspects, identified only as “Tessy,” 44, and “Josie,” 54, both residents of Sitio Mangga Dos, Barangay Matatalaib, were collared during a buy-bust operation in Skyland Subdivision, Barangay San Isidro.
Call center agent Tessy is allegedly on the police drug watchlist.
Three small transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (crystal meth) and the P500 marked money were seized from the suspects, police said.
The two will be facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, according to the Tarlac City Police Station. — Alyssa Joy Quevedo, trainee
