CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga — Converge ICT Solutions co-founder and chief executive officer Dennis Anthony Uy on Thursday (September 29) donated 100 learning tablets to Aeta learners in an education project in Clark’s Sacobia sub-zone.

He also promised to install free Internet service in two upland villages of Mabalacat City by November.

“We at Converge reiterate our commitment to help raise the quality of education in the country, but most especially here in Pampanga, because this is where the heart of Converge is. Pampanga is our home,” Uy said in the program held for the Aeta Pagsasarili project, consisting of pre-school education, cacao planting for chocolate bar making, and the trading post Ayta Na.

The support of Converge is part of an agreement with Mabalacat City Mayor Cris Garbo.

Started by former Clark Development Corp. (CDC) chair and now Converge chair Jose “Ping” de Jesus in 2019, the Aeta Pagsasarili project is supported by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. and Bloomberry Cultural Foundation Inc., which built two of five learning centers in Sacobia through a P47 million grant.

The OB Montessori has developed the education modules and trained teachers to mentor in two centers for young students in Pampanga and Tarlac.
