MANILA, Philippines — An additional 2,001 infections were added to the country’s total COVID-19 caseload on Monday, further raising active infections to 37,082.
As a result, the country’s overall number of COVID-19 cases is 3,940,201, with 3,840,300 recoveries and 62,819 fatalities based on the Department of Health’s (DOH) online COVID-19 tracker.
The DOH tracker also showed that Metro Manila, with 13,861 COVID cases, continues to outpace Calabarzon (5,138), Central Luzon (2,819), and other regions in the past two weeks.
With 3,250 infections, Quezon City remains the worst affected location, followed by Manila (1,820) and Cavite (1,728).
Meanwhile, only 11,706 individuals were tested for COVID-19 on Sunday, September 26, reflecting the tallied number of new infections on Tuesday.
