Over 150 job posts open in Bureau of Immigration

MANILA, Philippines — More than 150 job opportunities in the Bureau of Immigration (BI) are up for grabs.

“The manpower augmentation is part of the agency’s move to ensure improvement of our services to the traveling public, especially now that the country is on its way to recovery,” Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco stressed in a statement.

“This is how we evolve with the times changing. We need to keep our frontlines fervent so as to guarantee efficiency in our ports,” he added.

The following are the available slots for the vacancies: 147 for Immigration Officer I; one for Administrative Aide VI (Clerk III), six for Administrative Aide IV (Clerk II); and 21 for Administrative Aide III (Clerk I).

All applicants for the said vacancies do not require job experience or training for their prerequisites.

Before being officially hired, the commissioner said candidates would need to pass several tests and interviews.

“It’s a rigorous selection process, but this is how we make sure that we get the best officers to man our borders,” Tansingco said.

He further noted that the bureau requires new officers with a commitment to their country and a love for public service.

The BI encourages applicants to visit their website here and submit their applications on or before September 30.
