ANGELES CITY — A man was arrested Friday (Sept. 23) as a suspect in the death of his live-in partner whose decomposing body was found a day before at a vacant lot in this city.
Police station 3 commander Major Rammel Ebarle identified the suspect as Danilo Calderon Jr., 42, resident of Capaya 2 village here.
Ebarle said they found out that Calderon had gone into hiding after a scavenger found the body of Mylene Lising, 39, at the Jaoville compound in Pandan village around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
At around 2 p.m. on Friday, police were able to track and arrest Calderon at Dolores village in nearby Porac town.
After the discovery of Lising’s body, Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. gave the city police 48 hours to resolve the woman’s apparent murder case.
Ebarle said Calderon is now detained at the police station 3 while charges were being prepared for filing against him at the city prosecutor’s office.
