MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday registered 1,886 new infections of COVID-19, with active cases now at 27,284.
The latest report raised the country’s total COVID-19 caseload to 3,927,120 nationwide, with 3,837,179 recoveries and 62,657 deaths.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila continues to have the highest number of infections per region in the last two weeks with 11,989 cases, followed by Calabarzon at 4,264, then Central Luzon at 2,463.
On the other hand, Quezon City has the most reported cases in the last two weeks at 2,697, followed by Manila at 1,735 and Cavite at 1,471.
As many as 19,138 individuals were tested for COVID-19 on Tuesday, reflecting the number of recorded infections on Thursday, September 22.
