Talisay Beach Volley semis cast complete
TEAM FROILAN, University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF), University of San Carlos (USC), and Abellana/Ramas advanced to the crossover semifinals of the Talisay Beach Volleyball Invitational Competition after topping their brackets in the elimination round yesterday.
The event is one of the sporting activities held as part of the American Landing celebration.
The semifinals and finals will be held tomorrow in Poblacion, Talisay City.
Bracket A top team Froilan of Marielle Froilan and Jusabelle Brillo will battle Bracket B no.2 USPF tandem of Rochelle Rica and Apple Saraum for a chance at the title while USC will go up against Abellana/Ramas in the other semifinals match.
USC topped bracket B while Abellana/Ramas finished second in Bracket A. USC is represented by Suzette Panis and Chona Gesulga while Abellana/Ramas have Jumabelle Abellana and Therese Rea Ramas.
The winners will advance to the championship match while the losers will contest the third place.
A total of 10 teams saw action in the event. Those who saw action in Bracket A were Southwestern University, University of San Jose-Recoletos and RPM while completing Bracket B were USC-SC, and the teams of Ivy Abella and Leynette Auza and Marissa Lagancia and Katherine Jumapao.
The champion team will get P7,000 while the second, third and fourth will pocket P5,000, P3,000 and P2,000, respectively. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
