MANILA, Philippines — A total of 253 examinees passed the 2022 September Mining Engineer Licensure Examination, said the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday.
The examination was given by the Board of Mining Engineering in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Legazpi, on August 24 to 26 and September 12 to 14, 2022, with a total of 389 aspiring engineers taking the exam.
John Martin Rivera Crio, who earned an impressive 89.40 percent, was one of nine students from UP Diliman to place in the top 10.
Second and third place went to Jamie Cumigad Baquiran Jr. (89.30) and Gavin Bryan Arboleda Mascardo (89.10).

UP Diliman also secured the leading spot in the list of top-performing schools, with 100 percent passing out of 34 examinees.
Meanwhile, Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Tech followed in second place with a passing rate of 90 percent, or 18 of 20 examinees.
The third top performing school was the University of Southeastern Philippines – Davao City, with a passing rate of 85.11 percent or 40 of 47 examinees. — Alyssa Joy Quevedo. Inquirer.net trainee
