MANILA, Philippines – Rain will prevail in Metro Manila and six other areas in Luzon on Monday due to the southwest monsoon, said the state weather bureau.
In its early morning forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that aside from the capital region, the areas of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and the northern portion of Palawan – including Kalayaan Islands – will similarly encounter habagat-induced overcast skies and scattered rain showers.
The rest of Luzon, on the other hand, will experience calmer skies with likelihood of rain from afternoon to evening, according to state weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.
“Samantala, iyong nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon ay magiging maganda at maaliwalas ang panahon pero may tsansa pa rin ng mga isolated na pag-ulan dahil sa thunderstorm,” he further detailed.
(The remaining parts of Luzon will have fair and clear weather, but isolated rains may still be encountered due to thunderstorms.)
Aurelio said fair weather with sporadic and weak to moderate rainfall will likewise prevail over Visayas and Mindanao.
