OLONGAPO CITY — A woman who had been missing for days turned out to be the body that was found floating in the waters off Subic town in nearby Zambales province.
Police identified her as Leonissa Araman, 33, a resident of Barangay Matain, also in Subic.
Investigators said Araman’s mother reported that her daughter was last seen on Monday, September 12, and failed to return home.
On Wednesday, the body was spotted by a concerned citizen within the vicinity of Sitio Nagbayukan in Barangay Cawag around 5:00 p.m.
The autopsy result showed that the cause of the woman’s death was asphyxia due to drowning.
