MANILA, Philippines — Some flights from Manila were canceled Friday because of bad weather at their destination, the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) said in an advisory.
According to the Miaa, the following flights were postponed:
PAL Express (2P)
- 2P 2905/2906 Manila-San Jose, Antique-Manila
- 2P 2965 Manila-Busuanga
The state weather agency said in an earlier bulletin that moderate to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon, locally known as “habagat,” are expected over parts of Mindoro, Palawan, and Antique.
Also, the Philippines is bracing for Typhoon Nanmadol, which is anticipated to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) by Friday afternoon.

Nanmadol – which will be given the local name “Josie” once it enters PAR – was located 1,465 kilometers east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon at 10 a.m. on Friday.
