ANGELES CITY — Policemen arrested a suspected drug peddler who allegedly yielded some P374,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, Sept. 14, night, in Santo Domingo village in this city.

In a statement Thursday, city police director Colonel Juritz Rara identified the suspect as Helland Bautista, 43, of Mexico town.

Bautista is considered a “high-value individual” in the police campaign against illegal drugs.

The city police and regional drug enforcement group operatives conducted the sting operation against Bautista, who reportedly yielded a small sachet of shabu to an undercover police officer, who used a marked P500 bill.

Police allegedly found two more medium-sized sachets of suspected shabu weighing 55 grams during the operation.

The suspect will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
