Two men nabbed for making fake IDs
Two men were arrested for making fake identification cards in a downtown shop in Cebu City.
Police arrested Joseph Salas, 25, and Jemart Avila, 18, in their rented store on Legaspi and Colon streets.
The men were arrested yesterday after making and selling a fake driver’s license to a policeman who posed as a buyer.
The shop displayed cellphone units in front for sale but actually made fake ID cards from various government agencies, schools and private companies, said SPO1 Raymund Supatan.
Police seized personal computers and printers used in the business.
Salas is a native of Bohol island while Avila is a resident of barangay Cogon-Pardo, Cebu City.
