Woman hogtied, robbed at home

THREE knife-wielding men broke into a house in a subdivision in Lapu-Lapu City , then hogtied a housewife with masking tape before robbing the place.

The home invasion took place in La Aldea del Rio Subdivision in barangay Calawisan past 3 p.m. last Thursday.

Emma Tirado, 18, said she was cooking dinner when the robbers, who were in their 20s, barged in.

Her 2-year-old daughter and a 2-month-old son were sleeping in the bedroom.

She said the intruders declared a holdup at knifepoint and took a digital camera worth P30,000 and P2,000 cash from a drawer.

The robbers then taped the woman’s mouth and tied her feet and hands.

The woman said the intruders kept peering outside the house to make sure that no one saw the robbery.

About 10 minutes later, the robbers left by climbing the backyard fence.

The woman then sought help from the police.

The robbery went unnoticed by neighbors and the subdivision’s security guard .

Tirado was unable to identify the three men from the police files.
