MANILA, Philippines — Fire struck the barracks of Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City on Tuesday evening, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported.
The fire, which broke out at the Communication Electronics and Information Systems Service Armed Forces of the Philippines (CEISSAFP) Compound, reached the first alarm at around 5:56 p.m., and was finally extinguished at 7:07 p.m., the BFP also said,
In a statement, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) said no one was hurt in the incident.
It likewise said that “the fire started inside the personnel barracks at around 5 p.m. for still unknown reasons.”
Firetruck inside Camp Aguinaldo, the AFP’s headquarters, first responded to the scene and other fire trucks from outside the camp eventually arrived which aided in the immediate containment of the blaze, the AFP said.
