2 tourists yield marijuana worth P7.7M in Mountain Province

BAGUIO CITY — Police in Mountain Province arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 13, two local tourists allegedly transporting marijuana worth more than P7 million in Sadanga town.

Investigators said the unnamed suspects were on board a car intercepted at a checkpoint.

At least 67 bricks of dried marijuana, which weighed 64 grams and worth P7.7 million, were seized from the suspects.

The duo, both of Barangay Quezon Hill in this city, will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said. INQ
