UPDATED MANILA, Philippines — Senators sent their greetings to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. who is celebrating his 65th birthday on Tuesday.

In separate Twitter posts, Senators Raffy Tulfo, Jinggoy Estrada, and Sherwin Gatchalian greeted the president.

Tulfo and Estrada wished for Marcos’ good health, among others.

(My wish for your birthday is good health. May God guides you as your success is the success of the Filipino people.)

(Happy birthday to our President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.! I, together with the Filipino people supporting you, pray for good health, fortitude, and strength for you to pursue your aspirations for the country and each Filipino.)

Posting photos of him and the president, Gatchalian said: “Kampanya pa lang, buo na ang plano ng Pangulo para sa ikabubuti ng ating ekonomiya at sektor ng enerhiya. Salamat sa suporta at maligayang kaarawan, President [Bongbong Marcos]!”

(From the campaign season, the president’s plan for the betterment of the economy and energy sector is already whole. Thank you for the support, and happy birthday, President Bongbong Marcos!)

Senator Sonny Angara’s wish for Marcos was shared with reporters in a message.

He also has to deal with many problems where not everything is under his control, given what is happening in Ukraine and Southeast Asia. We hope his Cabinet works hard to support his many plans for our country and our people,” Angara said.

Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva and Senator Imee Marcos, Bongbong’s sister, extended their greetings on Facebook.

God bless you more!” Villanueva said in a Facebook post.

(Happy birthday to our President Bongbong Marcos. We wish for the continuous blessings and guidance of God in his service to the Filipino people. God bless you more!)
