Cebu Patriots rule male relay category in Xterra

THE CEBU Patriots topped the male relay category of the Vaseline Men Xterra Off-road Triahtlon Series held last weekend in Liloan town, northern Cebu.

The team finished the full triathlon with a time of three hours, 54 minutes and 35 seconds.

Beacon Five Fingers topped the distaff side with a time of five hours, seven minutes and 23 seconds.

Organizers of the event had some technical problems regarding the results of the other categories that resulted to some winners not being able to make the podium during the awarding.

Among those not mentioned were team Le Franze, who topped the female relay category in the Lite division with a time of four hours, 56 minutes and 21 seconds.

Gianluca Guidicelli also finished first in the 50-54 years old category.

Joseph Cuizon breezed through the finish line first in the 45-49 years old category in three hours, four minutes and 45 seconds.

Jun Barcenas topped the 40-44 years old category with a time of three hours, 30 minutes and 34 seconds while former Sportswriters Association of Cebu (SAC) president John Pages finished second in three hours, 36 minutes and 55 seconds.

Rayman Delos Angeles won the 35-39 years old category while James Rey Calayca won in the 30-34 years old category.

Wesley Ian Haw topped the men’s 25-29 years old category and Wes Christian Yap ruled the 20-24 years old division.

Other Xterra full triathlon winners were Oscar Escudero Jr. (60-64), Jose Ricardo Dizon (55-59), Juan Jose Bonnin (50-54), Andy Aguila (40-45), Camilla Brookes (30-34), Silvia Tiezzi (35-39), Yoshimi Yasue (40-44), Lynda Scott (45-49) and Pen Nepomuceno (25-29). /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
