/ 05:10 AM September 09, 2022

Tropical Storm “Inday” (international name: Muifa) may turn into a severe tropical storm before exiting the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), possibly on Tuesday next week, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. In its 5 p.m. bulletin, Pagasa said Inday was 1,045 kilometers east of northern Luzon with maximum winds of 75 km per hour and gusts of up to 90 kph. It was moving westward 20 kph. Inday may intensify into a severe tropical storm in the next 24 hours. By Sunday or Monday, Inday may exit PAR and turn slowly northwestward to northward. —DEMPSEY REYES
