TACLOBAN CITY — Police officers in a Leyte town have yet to identify those behind the killing of a coconut farmer and his son on Monday, September 5.

Major Ronald Puso, police chief of Jaro town, appealed to witnesses to help them identify the perpetrators in the killing of Aldin Apordo, 53, and his son Alwin, 27.

The victims’ bodies were found at about 5 p.m. last Monday in Sitio Oye, Barangay Canhandugan, Jaro where the victims reside.

Puso said the elder Apordo had a bullet wound on his head while his son had a similar gunshot wound in his chest.

“We are still in the process of our investigation that is why we are calling those who have possibly witnessed the incident to come out and help us so we can identify those behind the grisly killing of the victims,” the town police chief.
