LUCENA CITY — A 31-year-old man was shot and killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Tanauan City in Batangas province on Sunday, Sept. 4.
Batangas police identified the victim as Erbenn Datinguinoo, a city resident.
The police said Datinguinoo was standing on the roadside in Barangay Poblacion 4 at 9:40 p.m. when the assailants approached the victim asking for directions.
Then suddenly, without provocation, the suspects repeatedly shot the victim using still unknown firearms.
The gunmen sped off after the shooting while the victim was rushed to CP Reyes Hospital but died along the way.
An investigation was underway to identify the shooters and establish the motive behind the killing. INQ
