MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the local government of Muntinlupa on Monday formally opened the Urban Green Space and Recreational Park in Bayanan Baywalk, Muntinlupa City.
MMDA said the park has fresh grass, bollards, lights, benches, an exercise area, ramps for persons with disabilities (PWDs), and a play area for kids.
The inauguration and blessing of the park were led by MMDA Acting Chairman Carlo Dimayuga III and Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon.
“It is always a good day when we inaugurate projects like this because it is a testament to the significance of the productive collaboration between local government units and national agencies,” Dimayuga said in a statement.
For his part, Biazon urged the residents, the Muntinlupa City government, and village officials to take care of the park.
“We have a shared responsibility to maintain the cleanliness of the park,” Biazon said.
