Devanadera appointed acting Clark Development Corporation chief

MANILA, Philippines –  Former Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) chairperson Agnes Devanadera has been appointed by Malacañang as acting president of the Clark Development Corporation, said Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles.

Cruz-Angeles announced the appointment  through Viber on Saturday. On top of being the acting president, Devanadera was also appointed as chief executive officer, and member of the Board of Directors of the Clark Development Corporation.

“I am pleased to transmit your appointment letter, signed by President Ferdinand E. Marcos Jr., as the acting president and chief executive officer, and member, board of directors, Clark Development Corporation,” stated the letter affirming her appointment, which was signed by Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez.

Devanadera also served as the solicitor general during the administration of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, serving from 2007 to 2009 before going to the Department of Justice as secretary from 2009 to 2010.

The Clark Development Corporation is tasked with transforming the Clark Freeport Zone into a business and tourist destination by 2030.
