Team E takes lead in CEKALCO
TEAM E crushed Team C, 84-62, Saturday night for its 3rd win in four games (3-1) to take the early lead in the ongoing Center Katipunan A. Lopez Christian Organization (CEKALCO)-2012 First Conference basketball tournament at the A. Lopez open court in barangay Labangon, Cebu City.
Team C led, 19-15 in the opening period but Team E responded with a blistering 28-12 rally in the 2nd quarter to grab a commanding 12-point advantage at the half.
Team E continued its domination in the next two quarters for the 22-point victory.
Danny Desoyo and Richie Villarosa led Team E with 21 points apiece while Robert Bistis and Ed Sumalinog paced Team C with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
In the other game, Team B led from start to finish to drub Team D, 79-66, for its 2nd win in 3 games, while the latter dropped to 2-2.
Fritz Desoyo topscored with 21 points for Team B with huge support from the trio of Nelson Solana, Ringo Reyes and Janus Desoyo who added double figures each while Edwin Lazaga and Cesar Loayon paced Team D with 21 and 13 points, respectively.
